Oktay Eksi, Chairman and Members of the Turkish Press Council
Dear friends,
We write to convey our emphatic support in your fight for the basic human
right to freedom: freedom of thought, expression,and access to information as
well as ideas.
The undue legal limitations imposed on the exercise of these rights in Turkey
nowadays clearly undermine the tenet of a democratic regime.
We share with you in the expectation for a change in law and policy.
